Marq was kick ass live. I remember seeing them at Hammerjack's in Baltimore around 1989 on the tour for the first record. He was just so fuckin' cool, great rock attitude and presence. Reminded me alot of DLR. Dan Reed from the Dan Reed Network came out and did the encore with them.

Oh feel free to semi-hijack the other thread. I'm planning on making an alphabetized list of bands sorted by genre so I can easily find a spot for all this stuff. My goal was to make a list of all the bands the JCF likes so people can use it as a starting point in finding new material to listen to. I have all this free time during summer holidays so I need something to do when I'm not working and this is it.

        Firehouse rules!

they are one of the greatest live bands i've ever seen. everybody in the band sings just as good as the lead singer and plays their instruament perfectly.

That's why I made this thread a sticky, it really is a great reference we can continue to add to. We can make seperate sticky threads based on genre so everyone can find and contribute based on their listening preferences.

Concerto Moon is always fun to throw on for some shreddy stuff.

I also think that Sinergy, while not 80's themselves, sounds very 80's and kicks major ass.

Live it, love it!! It's about all I listen to.
No, I've not heard either, yet. Hopefully, I can get my hands on them, though.

Sykes is a monster, man. I've always been a Thin Lizzy fan, but never had a chance to hear/see any of their stuff with him, until the last two years. VH1 Classic ran a concert of theirs, with him, which was primo.

hehe. Well, I know I saw them prior to 93'. Must've been during the time "Don't Close Your Eyes" was kinda big. When would that put it, then? My past is a haze, too!

He was just so fuckin' cool, great rock attitude and presence. Reminded me alot of DLR. Dan Reed from the Dan Reed Network came out and did the encore with them.
Exactly what I though when I saw them, here, at City Limits. Had that DLR-thing going on. Dirty Looks opened for them, I think. God, now THAT singer was an asshole.

                          • Damn, I forgot to mention Dirty Looks, and come to think of it Teeze. I saw Teeze open up for Stryper in Trenton around 1985. They had a killer stage show. All flippin' guitars at the same time, doing all sorts of synced up moves. Just fun rock and roll...
