      • I didn't read the whole thread, but I always thought this song was pretty cool. I had a hell of a time finding it because I thought it was Ratt...

+1 on Shotgun Messiah. I wore out the Second Coming cassette. Another cool band is the Scream. That was the band John Corabi was in before Motley. They dissappeared because their label folded.

Scroll down to the Scream and you can download the whole album... don't tell Bengal you did it though.

Nice call on Y&T. Dave, I think, has one of the best rock voices. "Meanstreak" is still frequently played on my MP3 player.

              • More love for Y&T. A very good and very underrated band.

I have a picture of me standing next to Dave's guitar boat.

I taked to his tech about Dave's "famous" Gibson Les Paul. It's a early 70's Cherry Sunburst Deluxe that was routed for humbuckers. He told me the headstock has been broken off 13 times over the years. The back of the headstock looked like it had a skin graft on it. Fuckin' cool guitar though.

                  • Ah, Y&T. Great band.

But do you remember them as Yesterday & Today? I do.

I bought (and still have somewhere) a Yesterday & Today album from Drug Fair around 1976-1977.

                              Southgang - AMAZING overlooked band

Wow! Thats the first time I've heard that name since my bass player suggested we do Southgang's Tug of War last year. I had never even heard the song before then but it is a cool song! Drummer didn't want to do it even though we practiced it a couple times. I like the song but no one in local bars would recognize it. Of course that didn't stop us from doing Dream Theater's Pull Me Under Hmm, maybe we'll have to reconsider doing Southgang
80's rock is awesome by the way. My band is mainly doing 80's rock

That's cool, I never heard them as Yesterday and Today that I can remember, I'm going to give it a whirl.

Scott, there's something about an old beat up les paul that just says fuckin play me! I regret getting rid of the few i've had. That one looks well loved.
