I wonder how many were actually produced in that 1 production year.. Any educated guesses?
I've found one, it's green sparkle. A bit nasty looking really! Is that a rare sounding colour? You'd be able to find it with very little effort, so not really a secret find by any means.
How do you guys go about finding them in the states? Are there other sources other than ebay that you use? I've heard of craigslist, but that's a bit hit and miss searching wise. Any hints?
When I was looking for another one (yes....) I used Google, and worked backawards, went from like, page 50or something. Had to trawl through weird ones, and nonsense ones, but it did find one or two for sale. Then I found about crazedlist I think it is called. A Craiglist worldwide search. I found one right away for sale in the US with that, but it took a while of trawling the results.
And dg is right. Really try hard, if you are goign to spend your hard earned cash, and lots of it, to get a Trans finish one.
Well the green sparkle one went very quickly. As I'm sure you could have guessed, it was on ebay US. The seller wasn't prepared to ship overseas any how. No big wupp (wanna fight about it?).. (one for the family guy fans out there)..
Anyway, I've managed to track down a red/amber sunburst with a floyd, and it's about 10 miles from where I live! I've been offered the opportunity to make an offer, and I was wondering what sort of figure you guys would suggest as fair for both parties based on your wider knowledge of this guitar.
Thanks
You're in the UK? (Now tell me where exactly! Nah, just kidding, I am happy with mine.)
I paid £400 for mine with 80W amp included, last year. It is worth whatever you think. Be that £600 or £300 etc. Anything about £600 to me is a no way.
No, he didn't. Ah well. Common sense has prevailed for the moment at least. I have decided to completely refurbish my model 5. I'll post pics of my work in a different thread. One day, I may get my XL though!

Wow! Somebody paid the buy now price! I wonder if it was somebody from this forum??
That one is in really good shape and had some very nice upgrades. If I saw it when it was active, I may have been tempted too. Chime in if someone here bought it.
