I like the Rat Rods - hate the prices...heh
    750xl, 88LE, AT1, Roswell Pro, SG-X, 4 others...
Stilletto Duece 1/2 Stack, MkIII Mini-Stack, J-Station, 12 spaces of misc rack stuff, Sonar 4, Event 20/20, misc outboard stuff...

Why do I still want MORE?

I won't comment on their math skills ( ), but some folks don't bother to do the math at all. They see these prices, and immediately assume they reflect this year's long-rumored and debated custom shop price increases. And that kind of silliness is exactly how the "$8k base price" rumors got perpetuated. It's like the freakin' phone game from grade school, ya know.
I'm one of those people and I do know that the NAMM guitars were priced more than a typical CS. What I was trying to figure out is relative to previous NAMM guitars how much of an increase is there as a proxy for CS and USA select. For example, if a NAMM Shannon soloist was $5k last year and now it is $10k that implies a 100% increase. Then does that mean if a typical CS was $3.5k last year will they be $7k this year? My problem is I do not know what NAMM guitars have gone for in the past to figure out the increase.

Well, I am pretty sure that when ever I need a good laugh, I think I am going to look at the NAMM price list.

If I am not mistaken I think all of them have sold to dealers.

That will change once the folks from Fullers Guitar Museum arrive.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

                      • what i really admire are the guitar makers out there that have a waiting list
past their life expectancy (i.e. greg smallman) .. but they charge a modest amount .. even though they could get more.

                        • Those prices are insane. Looks like John picked the right time to get out of here and change jobs because I'd love to have seen him try and explain these. It looks to be about a 35% price increase from what I can tell. Based on previous NAMM pieces comparitively. All I can say is I am glad I bought my custom when I did, cause if I had waited, I doubt I would have been able to afford it.

From a Jackson employee late in the day.

                            • I got an en email from a dealer on Tuesday stating they had bought the entire Charvel booth? I didn't think they could do that before the show.
