Their (well, supposedly) previous band, Magna Carta Cartel, did some interesting stuff. This is one of my favorites off this particular album. The WHOLE record is amazing - and NOT metal at all, think Dire Straits meets Pink Floyd. These days I actually listen to this record more than the Ghost stuff.

YES this is great stuff, I've had this for a few months and it's really cool music. when you are in the mood for something different.
the guitar work is very intricate, as in Ghost.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

This thread made me check them out, and I'm glad I did. Love the 70s progressive vibe and the simple/melodic riffs and dynamics. Very haunting, consuming music.

Interesting influences this band has. Magna Carta Cartel is something completely different, way more mellow. One of the Nameless Ghouls(who is probably Papa Emeritus III) said this band was probably their biggest influence as far as Ghost goes. These guys have been around since 1977 !

I have a really difficult time taking a band seriously when their product looks like a high school kid's video project. The make up, lighting and most of all, cheap Halloween haunted house props just killed any chance they might have had in gaining traction or legitimacy. Sure, the chick had a nice rack but I don't need to sit through 3 minutes of amateurish cliche and bad facial contortions to see that. P-U!

Ghost lineup shake-up. Omega(the guitarist on the left with the black Gibson RD) has left Ghost. The bass player has now moved into Omega's slot and they have a new bass player. The new bass player is a hot little blonde named Megan Thomas from a band called Lez Zeppelin.

I saw them a couple nights ago, amazing performance. Megan is TINY !!!! and did a great job. Check out some recent videos on YouTube of Ghost performances. That huge white Fender bass Megan plays is about the same size as her.

yeah I'm seeing them next week at The Wiltern, my 3rd time around. Disappointing that Omega left but the bassplayer took right over.
                      fucking great band.

                        Small but fierce

I saw them in Cedar Rapids Oct 5. Great show and fun evening in downtown. I noticed early on the the bass player had to be a girl. Very petite build and dainty hands. She had no problem anchoring the low end duties. Love the intro to "Pinacle to the Pit".
