    Re: Favorite guitar technique??

Two months ago I wouldve said sweep picking, but its starting to get on my nerves. I still want to learn mind!

Id have to say fast alternate picking parts are my fav at the mo. When played well they're ace.

Lately my favorite technique is looking at them hanging on the wall and saying"maybe tomorrow,guys"...
Bon Jovi is like a frozen Coca Cola.. It's cool, it's crunchy, but when all is said and done it is still pop....

my favorite technique is Schenker's style of playing leads and then mixing in 2-string or 3-string attack strums and bends as part of the lead. it just adds a whole nother dimension of richness to the sound coming out.

              Tapping for me.
              Or pinch harmonics.
              Maybe sweep picking.
Oh hell, there's too many to choose from.

Of course, there's nothing like a good old-fashioned bend/vibrato combo to stir your soul (a la Beck).

Popping a screaming pinch harmonic and shaking the shit out of it. The three techniques I use most, wide vibrato, bends and pinch harmonics.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

bent vibrato's my fave. I've been working the last couple of years on getting my vibrato really happening. Y'know, bend, hold, shake the tail. I want my vibrato to sound like a great singer.
