Why Brits love costume dramas so much?

Black Adder, Red Dwarf for the win. sorry those are my two favorite programs that have ever see the light of day.. and except first series of black adder which is painful to watch.

Brian Blessed was awsome as the King in that series. The whole point of the series was that it was painful, after all it was trying to show the Edmund Blackadders of this world as the snivelling little turds they really are.

The quote of the series was; "as the good lord said, love thy neighbour as thyself. Unless he's Turkish, in which case, Kill the Bastards!"

(No offence intended to any Turks reading this.... but it is very funny)
