I used a forstner bit as was suggested here.

Now that this one is under my belt, I'm thinking of adding a middle pickup to Big Red. Thoughts?

Bah, i put one on my project Rhoads and i never use it - especially since both humbuckers are coil-tapped. I don't mind the look, but most ppl say it just looks silly. I'll probably remove it & block up the cavity when i redo the finish (with some decent paint).
