Re: Lets Discuss: The import version of the Roswell Rhoads!

I had an imported roswell a couple years ago.
I had it a couple of weeks and sold it.

Pros: good looking guitar, light weight, low action, cool looking inlays, very rare.

Cons: sounded very thin, inlay work had alot of filler, fretwork was spotty, the nut was cut incorrectly, the hardware felt cheap, the volume know had a very narrow range.

I'm sure with some work, the guitar would of been decent, but at the end of the day, it's all about tone/playability for me and I didn't feel this particular guitar stacked up against other guitars in the $600 range.

Did the headstock look the same as the US version? I can't imagine what it would look like without the LSR tuners though. Thats what I thought gave it that futuristic look.

Only Jackson would know exactly how many were produced. Personally I've seen about 10 in both Black and Metallic Blue.

Re: Lets Discuss: The import version of the Roswell Rhoads!

There is a confusion between Carved Top and Arched Top.

For me i never mind. But for other people, Arch top mean like hollow-body. Like Gibon Es or D'Angelico's so they prefer call the slope : Carved Top.

                    Its a matter of taster.

Hey guys, about how often do these bad boys pop up? I'm finding nadda on the 'Bay, and I have ideas that involve white paint and black pinstripes... mwahahah!

Oh, and, what's a good price on the imports?

I remember seeing a couple pop-up on the bay about 2 years ago. And if I remember correctly, the price was in the $600 range.
