I like it. Glad to see Broderick with Jackson, and glad to see Jackson add something new, especially if they offer it in the USA Select or Signature Series lineup. It's a refreshing addition to the standard Dinky/Soloists (which I LOVE, so don't take that out of context) and the Warriors, Vs, Kellys, Rhoads pointies. The fact that it will be available in 6 or 7-string is another added plus. I think it's a good move on Jackson's part - one working to bring Broderick into the fold, and two bringing a completely new guitar into the lineup.

LOOKING FOR LATE-80s/EARLY-90s ESP guitars (preferably with the "lawsuit" Jackson style headstocks). Email me at

Yeah, what's up with the explorer body Zero BS guitars Dave has been playing lately, is he trying to prove something to James Hetfield, again? They just don't look right at all!
And I agree, Chris's guitar looks great on stage...

I personally feel since, (before) nobody had a signature Z shape, so he's trying to make it his own in the Dean business, like how he explained when he left ESP because he felt Kirk and James made ESP and he was under them in the eye of the company.

Well all i can say is I definitely believe chris when he says the body is based off of a homemade guitar he thought up. This is why megadeth members should leave guitar designs to the guitar builders. Well that could actually go to the majority of guitar players who take a stab at designing their own guitars. As they say, a face only a mother (or owner) could love.

Interesting, thanks for the good info. I didn't realize that Dave left ESP because of James and Kirk involvement with the company! Dave's ego sometimes is out of this world!... Well, I hope he gets back to Jackson one day and starts writing some good thrash songs like he used to...

                    • Very cool guitar. Aesthetically it reminds me of an RG Prestige, but I still think it was a very cool move for Jackson.

                      • Jackson is an awesome company. Ibanez is at least as good. Switching form one to another is none-issue, in fact - play both its fun.

Awesome move on his part, there is no way Ibanez would have given Chris his own Body shape, radius, Finish, Headstock, ect... If this guitar goes into Production, we're looking at a serious investment by Jackson.

                          • I dug it. Played it at NAMM, and while I'm NOT a 7 sting guy, I'd consider buying this. Very comfy to play, and nice neck.

ibanez suffers from UBERMEGACORP syndrome. they can't make anything custom.
