Some very nice stuff in here. I have been G.A.S. free for some time now. BUT: I am caving!!! One in particular in here(I will not divulge which one!) gets me weak in the knees! I am hoping to secure one.

I've had SEVERAL of the new charvels(pointy head) and they hung right with my san dimas era axes that I had.

The more I play my Charvels, the more I like them! If not for the Warrior and my WarAngel (and a few other Jackson Custom Shop ideas in the works), I'd probably defect to Charvel
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Weren't you getting rid of the WarAngel at some point? I thought it was on the chopping block.

Anyway - I just put my SD1 away last night and pulled out my Ibanez 770DX for a little action. Totally different feel - I think the SD1 just feels comfortable - like a muscle car with bench seats. The Ibanez more like a ricer with Sparcos. If anything - the SD1 is meaty - a real meat and potatoes type of guitar - classic. But damn, that Edge trem is sweet.

            Indeed it is

GT - Yeah I toyed with the idea of selling it, but on second thought, I decided to keep it.

Warmoth custom order, 8-hole, W/B/W pickguard routed for H/S, 3-way blade switch and V/T/T. Pickups are DiMarzio Evolution in the bridge and DiMarzio Fast Track 1 in the neck.

That looks sharp. Did the 8-hole line up right with the existing holes, and did the volume pot fit with no mod to the body cavity?

Thank you, I wasn't sure how it would look, but I really dig it. The only hole that didn't line up is the one by the switch, it is just a little off. The volume pot is actually a mini-pot, so no routing was required.

Some more So Cal porn for you ... pickguards are Warmoth black pearl and silver pearl. Love the knob of death. The HSS one has a Fast Track in the neck position and Cruiser in the middle. Other pickups are stock.

                                Hey guys,
Mario here, first time post. i am fortunate to own a variety of very nice guitars.. but let me tell you I have fallen in love with my charvel so-cal.. probably more than any of my others. Its relatively inexpensive so i'm not afraid of dinging it so i feel more expressive with it. It has a neck to die and i get alot of compliments from people (non-musicians) about how nice it looks..

This has become my #1 stage guitar, perfect for the music we do. Just feels so comfortable, sounds soo good too! have always been a SD pup guy but these dimarzio's really changed my mind.

Its stock except for a trem-stop installed in the trem cavity, and a d-tuna. 99% of the time at gigs, i back the trem stop out so the trem floats and the d-tuna is not used, but since i had it in my parts bin, i put it on the guitar anyway.

anyway don't be surprised if you see me poking around here more often.. thanks for all the great posts and for making me aware of this very special guitar.

                                here's some charvel porn:

and some youtube vids of me playing it (please excuse the sloppy playing, i don't do this guitar justice)
