Dio fucked up on one important fact of the the Italian superstition "Mal' occhio"..or the shortened Southern Italian slang Maloich'..he stated that it meant "the devil" it does NOT..it REALLY means "Evil Eye" "Mal" means bad bad/evil".."Occhio" means Eyes..

My grandmother had the same exact superstition which explains all the platic red horns "corno" hanging from all our rear view mirrors in our cars..

Vinny has a 50 year gold charm with "the horns" that was my great grandmothers..I have it on display in my curio cabinet on top of a old book on "The Evil Eye"..my grandma's book.

Well, plainly speaking ..yes.

Satan "symbolizes".. strength, conceit, and rebellion..strength being the main objective.

Not just pshycical strength, although that doesn't hurt..but strengh in believing in yourself and not relying on any deity. Be your own God and rule your life the best you possibly can without the influence a standard set of morals and conformity that are socially expected by the norm..also not relying/believing in a higher power makes you be more accountable, responsible for your own actions. I discovered God is the ultimate enabler!!

It's a FREEDOM to do what comes natural as a human without any manufactured guilt set forth by any church/religion. Most people have inherited programming of rewards and punishment, and that's where God comes into play..it certainly works. Most people believe in rewards in the after-life if they serve God.

My belief is there is no after-life and all punishments and rewards are at this very moment..

That's it really, just have fun, do what you want without any "guilt" ..but being accountable for your own actions will allow you to cultivate a strong mindset and will for self-preservation to succed and meet your goals. Those are your rewards! Mine is a beautiful wife of 20 years, my son, a lovely home, finacially secure, talent, charisma to influence and manipulate others, alot of very nice toys and I'm fully retired..most here would give there left nut..possibly both..for that!!

Most people that serve jail sentences believe in God.

One must ask are the weak and social dregs of life equal to yourself and will they have redemption in God at their final judgement..do you really want to rub elbows with the likes of them ..even if there was a Heaven..I certain't don't.!!

For one reason, most of my morals and beliefs are naturally anti-christian. I am not Christ-like one bit ..in fact, I'm quite the opposite. I perceive Christ to be a weak "scapegoat"..a holy Martyr. Besides, Christ sole pupose was to die..he came from heaven then returned there after his death. Where's the "sacrifice"..don't suicide bombers think and do the same shit.

One must ask, not so blindly..what did Jesus do..die for our sins..??

OK, a little preachy, but before and after his so-called sacrifice..Man still requires redemption of sin and we still die. So nothing has changed before or after the crucifiction..NOTHING!

My guy "Satan' went down fighting and took a third of God's angels with him..I'm certain there were more angels that sided with Lucifer but were to afraid to speak up. Lucifer must of had a pretty good stance..

So, what was his stance of defiance..FREE AGENCY. Lucifer KNEW that humans were much too weak a creature to handle such responsibilty..and he proved that with the very first humans God created..Adam and Eve..that didn't make God too happy..in fact it prooved Satan right!!

God finally lost it with man and had a major temper tantrum in the book of Noah..

This stuff is silly..these tales are obviously limited to man's imagination, never reaching outside his box, not even Christ, he was a sheppard and referred to us as hisv"flock, well that what he knew..don't you think the "son of GOD" could do better than that....it's a bunch of out-dated non-sense that insults the average person's intelligience..but yet, they MUST obey..because well, that what Grandma, Dad and mom does..

But I must NOT raise these questions..because that makes inner doubt surface..everyone has that inner doubt,..and for good reason..this makes people VERY uncomfortable and angry..well then, so be it.

I'm still going to ask the questions that believers can't answer..that's were "Failth" comes into play..believing in something you can't prove..

I ask why believe in such a thing..why put so much time, devotion and energy into something you don't really know exists when you could have invested all that time taking action for yourself..I know the answer..because people are weak and can NOT solve their problems..leaving them desperate to go rely on God.

Tragedy will ALWAYS brings man closer to God..therefore God loves tragedy..that's not a very nice.."Father" IMO..per the book.

Remeber..Man's salvation cost thirty peices of silver..So, why is Judas the "bad guy" when it was his betrayal that lead to our so-called salvation..was he tempted..tempted by Satan..so was it Satan who lead us to salvation..??!!!

I am my own God and Satan is my inspirational brother..

BTW..I've shared these talks with my police chaplin, who is the pastor at my son's school..and he knows I'm a nice, responbile person, father and husband person...so go ahead and throw your first stone..I welcome it!

Please, guys, and gals..I am NOT trying to convert anyone here..I'm only conveying my POV which I have cultivated for years of much soul searching, investigating and thought.

I have NOTHING against anyone for believing in what they do..I truly respect ALL "good" people..but I expect the same courtesy.

Hell , everyone I know and love are Christians..I'm not some Christian bashing dickhole..hell, I was one for 30 years myself..but being neck deep in "God's" aftermath as a patrolman really changed my perspective on things..it's nothing I could help nor control..it just ...is.

I mean NO malice..or disrespect..but the hammer swings both ways..it's a neccessary "evil" I guess..a balance.

You have to do whatever it takes to get thru this world happy..that's no easy task.

So, to each their own..I did the God thing..it didn't work me..but you have to find what makes you a better person..

I'm well versed in both Satanism and Christianity..equally, I know both sides of the coin. I had to see what the "other" side was about. That's when I discovered all the mysteries I always had when growing up Italian Roman Catholic..it filled in between the lines.

Ironically, I assist my son in Theology and he always does outstanding..he's the head of the class on the subject.

I do enjoy answering any questions on this..I'm much to wise to be baited into a nasty mud slinger..I just won't go there.

I have as much right saying this stuff as anyone saying "God bless you" and quoting scripture and ect..this is my belief and right.

Please enlighten me..is Satanism and church burning as rampant as they claim..I've read of several Black metal artist doing such acts..but is this over blown..or is it this some sort of of cult counter culture there..I would certainly love to know..since it's your home.

I understand the intent of the church burnings to impede Christianity as much as possible..but I do not condone such actions, ..besides I really LOVE places of antiquity. I believe people have the right to choose any faith they wish without drama whatsoever..as long as it is not harmful to others...such as the actions on 911.

Ironically I'm very tolerable when it comes to faith, even tho I am what I am. I am outspoken but not much more than your average christian. I just stand out because of my beliefs are not the norm.

Your input is very welcome since you're from Norway..I put much more weight hearing this from you than reading or watchingt about it..you have the front row seat.

BTW..would I fit in there..I love dreary, dark climate, like the fall/winter we have here..which I think has a influence on this. The States is still somewhat "new" and so cookie cutter, ..everywhere you go looks the same..Pizza Hut, Blockbuster video and McDonalds on every corner..and that's about it.
