Re: Strings and gauges...

i am currently using ernie ball 10-something (the yellowy green pack) on my bc rich

and dean markley 10-54 in my old strat (its now tuned to c, purly for pissing about with) and they are dean markley because that was the heavyest strings i could get in town where i live

might try daddarios soon, i have always used ernie balls and never had an compaints

and so far with my bc rich i have never broken any strings, and that with the floyd on it, but then again i have only owned it since jan 4th

i broke a few strings on my old guitar but that was only after 3+ months of use when i didnt really care about the state of my strings, i only bothered to change them when one broke i put new strigns on every month and a bit now

Re: Strings and gauges...

I only use D'Addario strings, because they sound better and last longer than all other brands I've tried.

I use 10s on my Jackson DKMGT,
11s on my Eagle acoustic
and 12s on my Grass Roots Explorer (which I use for tuning down).
