Competitive shooting is a blast....it's a mental game really...and of course the physical demands it places on you....I shot competitively in the military...got to shoot with and learn from some of the best in the world really.

I got to meet the legendary GySgt Carlos Hathcock shortly before he passed away...he's the guy that Marine Sniper was written about...and loosely based his life in the movie Sniper w/Tom Berringer.

I saw Hathcock shoot at the Military Intraurals on the 1K line...all bundled up in a shooting vest....he was bleeding through from one of his recent surgeries...he tore the stitches..that was a tough motherfucker!!
