Wow - I didn't think I'd ever hear about something like this again - we had someone do this from a fourth floor balcony at the corporate hq for the insurance company I used to work for. We had this gorgeous atrium and each of the floors has a balcony all the way around. They tried to keep everything quite - but had to send email notices out to the company to keep people from guessing about it. What are the odds that something almost identical would happen at another company.

I feel for the people that had to watch that. That definitely a hard thing to watch.

Unfortunately, here at the Justice Complex, they don't look like her. Oh yeah, those CSI people (criminal investigators, medical examiners) work here.

Man, that is sad. Even if you don't know the guy, it's terrible to think he was in that much pain and despair.

This may sound cold, but I'm glad he didn't hit someone on the way down. He certainly endangered others in the means he chose to end it all. Thank God he didn't take someone with him!

Most recent update I got is that someone tried to stop him by grabbing the back of his pants and they just came down. He had a wife and 2 kids ages 15 and 18.

We have a mall here that has a good 5 story drop in the middle and every few years or so someone decides to jump. F-ED up thing is sometimes there are young kids that see it.

Just like those roadside markers from the other thread; sorry for your loss but you really don't have to share it with others, it's a private thing.

I mean, c'mon, if your life is that screwed up - whether by your own doing or not - maybe it's time to consider something OTHER than suicide?

Then again, maybe the guy was a pedophile and knew he was about to get caught. You just never know. A lot of times things like that are uncovered when they investigate the incident and they keep it quiet out of respect for the family.
