Dude, you make some beautiful guitars... but what's with this table top bodies lately... thing is so thick! I just read a story on Bill Steer (Carcass) where he said he developed shoulder and neck problems when he played Gibson's. Thin is beautiful to bro

? They're all 1.75 thick (like a Strat). I also work pretty hard to keep guitars on the lighter side. No boat anchors.

I wasn't trying to insult your work, and I hope you didn't take it that way. They just looked thicker for some reason. Like I said, always beautiful guitars, I've never seen your brand followed by cheap, shoty or ugly.

I'd actually like to get one from you someday, after I finish collecting a few more of my hero guitars. You remember that V back on page 1 in the thread.... that's one nasty guitar man, then as now . I seen a blue color on another guitar by you I think would look good on that.

There is, in fact, a V currently in the paint process that will get a similar blue fade.

Got this back from paint yesterday, just need to wire it. Really not a fan of the headstock with this model, but that's why you make prototypes. This was proto #3, and I've built a bunch more since this one, but it sat for ages and I finally decided to say "fuck it" and send it for paint. The experiments on this guitar was finalizing the neck/heel blend, a different headstock, and moving the bridge pickup closer to the bridge.

The headstock on the red one would work well for a Surfcaster shape. Off set the body shape, semi hollow it out, slope the head stock the other way.... Surf '71
