I did tune to D standard on my SLSMG with DR 50-11.

Recently though I've switched to C# standard and have also switched to the DR BT-10 sets since I prefer my top strings slacker and my bottom strings with more tension. I don't like the set much though. The A is a 44 and the E is 52, which for me is way to tight on the a and too loose on the e. It appears that D'addario makes gauges that I would prefer (42 on the a and 54 on the E) but I don't like them as much as DRs. I will probably be trying them out within the next week.

And is it just mine or do SLSMG nuts suck. I'm probably gonna get a new one in mine sometime soon. I have schaller locking tuners and the thing won't stay in tune (stayed in tune fine with 42-9 in e standard though).

What about Ernie Ball? The Beefy slinky is good for C# std (11-15-22-30-42-54), but I swap the .022 third string for a .019. The 22 is way too tight for me.
