I did this same fucking think a couple years ago. Didn't use Bondo, but the result was the same. RX10D body, with a DK-2 neck, made in single hum, and filled the toggle switch to 1/4" and added a cutout underneath. Only difference was mine was white with black Pinstripes, minus the two that ran parallel to the neck.

yeah, bob moderates the COB OT forum over at Ultimate Metal.com, and he actually helped me out with finding all the materials in the early stages. Thanks again bro

No problem dood. glad it worked out great. It looks beautiful. way better than mine. I'm inspired to redo both of mine now. I just need another DK2 neck.

Hey bro, no offense at all. Looks to me like Bob did a damn nice job on the white one.
I'll tell ya what, this whole painting thing isn't a competition in my eyes, it's more of a gathering of talented individuals sharing a mutual interest. I do a lot of car shows, and there is really no conceit among the builders and painters. Humility is a very respected quality among the talented and "not so" talented ones. We kinda have this wierd attitude towards one another. Me, I know I can paint, and I can do a damn fucking good finish, and I'm extremely proud of my work......but ya know what.....there are shitloads of people out there that can do it every as bit as good as I can, and for every shitload of those people, there are shitloads more that can do a LOT better job than me. It's all fun and it's all good!!

• Always heard gloss black was the hardest because the surface had to be perfecty flat....

Never realized it was *that* much of a PITA though....

Excellent work, and thanks for the info in the thread.

(Bob, the white one looks cool too!)

(red)...The guitas is now black...
How should I do the red bevels???

• mm2002 is one of the few people who should work for the custom shop. I don't have the tools or skills to do any modding. If I did, I'd have a few Customized imports myself. My WRMG could do with an OFR, a DK2 neck and a trans green or trans blue finish. There are a couple places that do this in the UK (can't remember which, sorry), but the cost would be near to that of a WR1.
