hey toejam, how do the necks compare to the speed necks? if that dean is korina i'd be tempted, stalking ebay for a korina kv1 is getting boring!!! doesn't look like the korina has white binding on the neck tho :-(

Are the Dean graphics painted or are they printed and cleared over?

I dont know about that one but the dime o flame was printed or silk screened.

The korina one is cool, definately.

I like the Rust in Peace one as well, but it's really not anything I would buy or gig with. Same with the Eric Peterson Dean, awesome guitar, but the gigantic Testament/Legacy logo just makes the signature part too obvious, and thus not for me to gig with.

I actually like the display one with no neck binding better since the headstock has no binding.

Limited to 50 worldwide and it's USA made. So I am guessing by Dean's prices it will be around $5000 bucks?

It's the nicest Mustaine Dean yet IMO. But the headstock is still a deal breaker for me.

I can live with the headstock, but the inlays kill that guitar for me. Dave went with that headstock so the switch to Ibanez will be easier when he gets tired of Dean. Just a small cut in the reverse direction and whola...Ibanez Dave Mustaine sig.

The headstocck is very nice actually, but you have to se it IRL

It isn't even the shape so much as the combination of everything.

Shape + lack of binding + the logo that just doesn't belong on that headstock = whole lot of fail for my eyes.

Put some binding on the headstock and use a logo like the cheapo import models like this one, or something similar, and I would be a lot more tempted to buy one ...

No matter how cool the picture is...there is just something "cheap looking" about Dean silk screen graphics.
