Some new import Charvels shown here. Unfortunately, the links aren't complete, so only small pics and model names for now...

          Nice work, Priest.

The rosewood top on the Pro DK7 is wicked. Okoume body? Interesting.
Gold hardware and the ash top is making a come back on the imports.

The coloured inlays on the RRX24 is pretty bold.
          7 string Tele? Wow.

This is the best new offerings of import models/specs I've seen. I expect the lack of a Pro Kelly will get some ridicule.

Really wish Jackson would offer 7-string custom selects...

I'm seeing some of the new X series models have what appear to be the Jackson 'High Output' pickups that were most recently only on the JS series. Other X series still have EMG's or SD's.

Some of those new finishes are amazing.

Same here. I don't really care for the reverse 7-string headstock.

I do like the 7 string rev pointies. I don't like the 4x3's.

So much rosewood on all these offerings. To Jackson, I wish the best of luck with CITES. Maybe we'll see more sustainably harvested ebony in 2018!

Indeed, weird how the X Series features such a range of pickups. Those Jackson-labeled "High Output" pickups, made by Belcat, are actually quite nice, though I never expected to see them in the same Series alongside guitars equipped with USA EMGs and USA Duncan Blackouts.

I've also noticed way more hardtail bridges this year. During the height of my JCF activity in the 2000s, the common fixed bridge was TOM.

Can you imagine if Chushin Gakki was making these...? I'd be happy with World Musical Instrument Co. Ltd. making these too. But in my limited experience with Jackson imports made in the Indonesian Cort factory and whatever Chinese factory is making the JS Series, no huge complaints. I have zero experience with the imports coming from the Mexican Fender plant though.

I did not see a Chris Broderick model, discontinued maybe?

Import and USA Broderick's are still showing on the Jackson site.

I shot the custom shop Jacksons and Charvels so we will have high resolution pix coming soon
A big THANK YOU goes out to Jon Romanowski from Jackson who got me in to the dealer's event so that us JCFers could see all these cool Jacksons and Charvels!
I will do my best to get the pix uploaded in the next couple days.

I was so happy when I saw the KEXT until I read that the non-floyd version was having chrome hardware...
Oh well, I suppose I can gold it out, but I'm not sure it's worth it for such a cheap guitar.

As long as it is reflected in the price compared to the models with EMG I'm fine with it. Otherwise I don't like it.
Wonder if it's only the pickups that's different or if they changed anything else as well.
                                Tell me about it!
