That was a great score. Congrats! Now, get rid of that tone-sucking JT-6 trem and put a real Floyd Rose on it. I did that on my '88 Soloist, and it made a huge difference in the tone.

taking that jt6 trem off it isnt gonna lower the value is it?? i mean its all original hardware. Any real made in germany floyd should fit, eh?

Yeah, putting a proper Floyd on that can only be a good thing..
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

You can probably find a "new used" Floyd in an alternate universe.

What size floyd would fit? I noticed there alot of different size floyds.

                      What a steal! Lucky you!
                      Congrats.

I swapped licensed floyd for Gotoh and minor drilling was needed but I suppose OFR should be just fine. AFAIK there are no different sizes of floyd. Only nut size could be different.

There are different size blocks for Floyds. Get a 42mm block for that one.

axewielder and i are referring to the locknut, which looks like a kahler. the trem bridge is a jt-6.

an original floyd unit to replace the jt-6 would be nice, but only if you're not satisfied with the latter.
