    Your pics above are definitely trans black on mahogany.

    The auction pics in the link look like a natural guitar that was photographed on a cloudy, overcast day with lots of reflections off the clearcoat.

    IMHO, that seller is colorblind.

      My SL2H-MAH is quite a bit heavier than my Alder Soloists. Just picking it up feels like either maple or mahogany.

        Cloudy? Overcast? This is GREAT Britain we're talking about.

        I'm sorry it's come to this, but dagnamit, I'm going to buy it and check the hang-tag. Now, <pats pockets> I don't suppose you could loan a JCFer a trifling 2k GBP?

          Sorry, I'm all out of GBPs at the moment.

          And did you happen to look at the hangtag? (See pic in your own post #8 above.) Jackson didn't see fit to filling in the color line.

            Damn those mystery-lovin' Jackson employees... hardly worth buying it without a fully filled in hang-tag.
