  • How are the PROFESSIONAL soloists?

Compared to U.S.A. soloists, how do the guitars feel/play/sound?

I might be securing a PROFESSIONAL soloist, early 90's or late 80's piece.

There are a few import charvels in my family, and I like them very much.

Any sort of feedback is appreciated.

    Thanks

While I can't comment on the Soloist, I can say that my RR1 Std (Professional series) is built as well as the Charvel Model series I have.

pretty much the same quality as USA's IMO. heres my '90 in red pearl. the only low point is the MOP isnt quite as good as any SL1 i've played, but i've seen other pro's that clearly didnt have that problem at all.

wow, does that color need re-charging?

COOL! sounds as though if you we're to put a u.s.a. soloist next to an import, you'd hardly tell there we're differences. just what i wanted to hear.

I own a 90 Pro and they are just as nice as the two USAs I owned. The only difference between the Pros and the USA is the neck radius. The USA are 12 to 16 conical and the Pros are a straight 12.Here is a pic it is not dial up freindly. As far the MOP this has the nicest inlays out of the four Pros I own. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...SoloistPRO.jpg

When you say straight 12, do you mean the back of the neck or the fingerboard?

The fingerboard , the neck profile is close to the USAs I had , maybe a bit chunkier.

That's one of the things I love about my eerie dess soloist....the backshape! it is VERY thin! Just like my previous eerie dess was. Fast as hell!

I was told by the shop where I bought my blue u.s.a. charvel, not all jacksons are this way.

I guess I'll get to find out how they are! I won a pearlescent white PROFESSIONAL late 80's or early 90's soloist!

                  $685.

I'll let you know how it is when it touches down. Time to update the family picture(when the KV2 and this soloist come) that makes 8 LOL

My old Soloist Pro was as good as my USA's. I'd actually like to have it back.
