    Was the guitar bought used?
    The JT580LP is a "decent" trem, but it is made of POS metal that will wear out easilly. If it's a few years old, chances are the knife edges are shot.

    If the knife edges are ok, it could be a loose trem post bushing. Check for that if the problem persists. The post bushings should sit snugly in the body, and not wiggle any at all.

      Roger that. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] It helped my DK2 when it wouldn't return to pitch and my knife edges were fine.
      My future band shall be known as "One Samich Short Of A Picnic"!
