Ikebe usually has a lot of store exclusives. That Hanneman-like Soloist was one of those for example.

Just a correction, "most" was my exaggeration, ONLY the top-of-the-line Stars guitars have MOP inlays.(MOP and Abalone on NASL)

Hey, since Jackson Stars are the topic here, I've been looking at them, and considering getting one. I've been looking at this RR-J2, and was wondering if anyone has played it, or if the RR-J1 would be much better.

Well I never played a Jackson Stars, but seriously looked into one in the past. Here are the things you would get with a J1 compared to J2:
Ebony board as opposed to striped ebony
Real MOP inlays
OFR as opposed to Schaller
Pearl logo as opposed to silk screen
Ash wings as opposed to Alder
Veneer maple top option

Yeah I knew that, but I think the J1 is just better build quality. I don't care for an OFR cuz I want a string thru tune-o-matic. One thing I like about those is that they built a little flip out thing on the back for the batteries for the EMG's.
