There was one catalog image showing it with one, but I have yet to actually see one with it in any online shop or in person.
This version of the guitar does not actually exist.

Even Jackson's own website does not show a wheel truss rod cutout for the SDX.

I've never seen one with the wheel.

        Sorry to necro-post.

Which way do I turn to make the adjustments?

clockwise to increase the bow and anti-clockwise to decrease the bow?

No, the opposite. Turning right (clockwise) will decrease the bow (pulling the strings closer to the board) and make the neck flatter.

Cheers. Just had the neck off. Managed to get the relief half decent, and found a thick piece of sandpaper in the neck pocket whilst I was at it! So taken that out. Waiting for some of the StewMac shims to arrive from the states to angle the neck properly so I can get the action where I want it to be now the neck isn’t like a banana any more!

Also moved the string retainer bar. It was so close to the bottom E post it was actually fouling it!

its not a half-bad guitar, but it’s needed a decent set-up and some work!

the trem wasn’t staying in tune very well. So I tried the claw angle trick which seems to have helped massively (or it’s just my imagination!)

It's a pain, but unfortunately, you do have to remove the neck. I've routed out a couple of mine over the years to prevent this, but I don't really like the look of it notched out like that. It's more of a convenience thing than anything. Not sure if the newer ones do or not.
