It's really easy, Dana.

just use the "image" button and list the url in the box!

I'm getting anoyed that I don't have a firecrackle guitar yet.

BB told me the other night how to do it.

Maybe I'll try it on my Model 6 that STILL hasn't arrived yet...

Okay 2Loud...I'll try it like that. I have no problem posting pics on the Dean Forum using that technique...(well, actually I copy and paste the URL between the IMG brackets) but it didn't work when I tried it here.

Your Model 6 STILL isn't there yet? What the heck is going on??

Hey 2Loud2Old make sure you try the Fire Crackle method on a test piece first!!

GF Make sure when you paste it between the brackets that there are no spacesbetween the url and the brackets.

I really want to see your M3 Fire Crackle

Re: Model 4 Fire Crackle

According to the info I have Brad I believe your guitar is a 1988 model.

Model 4 series produced from 1986-1988

The body wood is basswood.

1986 - Kahler Fulcrum Trem was used, dot inlays on neck.
1987 - JT6 Trem was introduced.
1987 - Sharkfin inlays were introduced.

Firecrackle was offered in 1 year only, 1988.

Now, most of this information I've gathered from a combination of catalogs and remnants of the MOAI pages.

Re: Model 4 Fire Crackle

Cool I asumed it was a 1986 because it was stamped
M 4-6 in the neck pocket. The neck only had the 4 stamped on the end of the heel. So I wonder how many were made and mif was a special order. Excellent info Thanks. BTW thanks for the schematic I've got some rewiring to do but a least all the original elctronics is there and working.

Thanks

BB

Here is my Model 3DR Firecrackle. Sorry for the crappy pic. It's one I already had taken. I should take some better ones. This pic does not show the reversed headstock. Also, the guitar is darker than it appears here. The flash washed it out.

Hey Dana, that is a sharp 3DR!. If ya get a pic of the whole thing (front and back)put it up ok? I also know what you mean about the color getting washed out. Unless you have decent quality camera, it's not easy to get a true representation of the color variations on these paint jobs. In any case, that's a beauty! Told you I was new at the Charvel Identification GF indeed a model 3 DR. Do they make a Model 3 with HSS with 5 way blade config passive I saw one a while back and was told it was a Model 3 it had small logo. Looked like a 375.

Thanks BB

I see now that it isn't a 5 fx. 22 fret bolt on. I didn't look close enough.
