    An update:
Got the body back today from Davenport custom guitars. He matched the black cherry paint to the T.
The pic is kinda washed out but the color is dead on the original.
He only re-sprayed the top and feathered it on the side to blend it in.
    Looks damn good to me.
    Check him out at davenportcustomguitars.com

The prudes may snub them, but I don't care.
          I dont need furniture.
If its tough, shreds, and screams, Its all good.
If it gets jacked, I'll get another one.
          And rock that sucker.

Got it all back together tonight and went with a J-80 Alnico pick up and 500k generic pot (all I had on hand).Cloth covered wire.
Plays great and sounds pretty damn good with the J-80.
Didn't have a proper vol knob so slapped a speed knob on until I get the right kind.
Far cry from the huge mess it once was.
Bob Davenport did a hell of a job matching the paint and fixing all the clear coat dings.

It really pays to pick up loose parts when you find them.Never know when you'll need them.
Ordered a new trem arm from Kahler should be here in a few days.
I found it in a pawn shop and noticed the black cherry on the edges and had never seen an 86 in that color so I had to have it.

Played it for a few hours last night and its really a great guitar.
Never had one with the 2500 trem but not a bad trem at all, used an arm from an auto latch kit I have and it comes back to pitch just fine.

Looked to dark with the black ring and pick up put in a zebra Duncan distortion and creme DiMarzio ring looks much better now.

That color with the pup change and dome knob looks sweet.

                              Real nice job there.
