I get the catalog in the mail every few months and just looked at their website, but there is one option I still don't see - fretboard binding! Does anyone know if they will do this? (It's 7:00 am there now, I can't call yet)
    Unleash the fury.....Texas style!

      Nope, they don't offer binding.

        Here's my DC727.
all mahogany, maple top, maple fret board 6100 SS frets
Original Floyd Rose, BareKnuckle Nailbomb in the bridge and ColdSweat in the neck. 250k volume pot.
I've gone thru about 10 7's in the last 2 years and this is the only one that will never leave my possession. I love this guitar so much that I actually had a total refret done on it so accomodate the OFR. the OFR uses slightly wider string spacing than the licensed trem does and Carvin sometimes bevels in the ends of their frets way to sharply (as they did on mine) so the high E string was slipping off of the end of the fret board. new frets , problem solved.
the only thing that could pry this away from me, is a GMW 7, or a Bernie Rico Jr. 7 Even my Ibanez J-Custom doesn't touch this.
it's one of the best "lead" playing and sounding guitars I've ever played
        (6 or 7 string)
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

I still need to order a DC727 eventually. Though, I'll probably get it with only a volume knob and one pickup.

I know. I lurk at the Carvin forum every once in awhile, don't really post much. I should be more active there again.

My 2 cents (US, not even euro)
My bit of experience with anything Carvin made over the last 20 years is - their stuff is really good stuff, and they have been unfairly
ignored by the general population for decades --- maybe the name itself is not sexy enough .......or some of their body styles were
                          a little too corny .....
(hmmmm - what if Eddie had used a Carvin back then, instead
of Charvel / Boogie Bodies ? - lol)
Their all-tube amps are pretty darn cool, too --
now for the boutique fiends, I'm sure they are circuit board, not hand wired - but, for us mortals, still nice and warm and fat --
(the Ampeg up in post #7, if all tube, those were surprizingly sweet, too)
