FWIW - those are Dr. V's in mine as well and I couldn't agree more, best pickups I've ever run accross. I actually have a set of double cream Dr. V's and a set of Marshallheads waiting to go into guitars....guess I need two more Les Pauls

I will say that I have to go thru 10 LPs to find one good one..

I would tend to agree with that on the Standard level, but the consistency on the Historic level is pretty damn good. Then again, I've yet to purchase a brand new Les Paul and couldn't justify it - I'll stick to the used Historic market.

The R0 I have now is pretty much a magic Les Paul.

How do the Marshallheads compare to the V's? I am thinking that would be my next set.

They are hotter, a little more oomph to them. Great for a guitar that may need a 'push'....they don't quite have the clarity of the Dr. V's, but are equally as aewsome. I'm looking into a CS336 with the intention of dropping the Marshallheads in it.

You can't go wrong with any of Wolfe's pups.
