    That is excellent advice. Les Pauls are not all the same by a long shot. The woods, bridges, pickups, etc. between the models vary enough to really make a difference.

      The 500T in the bridge is a smokin pickup!! One of my favorite passives. I don`t like the green inlays on the classic, and also like the Standards 50`s neck option. Jack.

        I say go for the real deal. I have never played a copy as good as a decent real one. I am biased though...
