    In the right light, it has some appealing aesthetic characteristics but usually it just looks dark which kinda bores me. I've always been enamored with graphically powerful, loud or flashy finishes. It's the artists in me, I guess.

          I don't know. The Californian came out in 5 versions starting in '88: The standard, the deluxe, the elite, the limit editions (2 series) and the customs/custom orders. The Limited Editions had runs of 150 each in two finishes-purple metal flake and iridescent. One or both of those were released in Canada.

            Very cool guitar! If it was mine, I'd install the PATB2 (a mean one!) and also a PATB Stack at the neck. Either way, that is a very elite and rare machine...
