The two questions I've not got 'full' answers to are:

- Why does gold hardware on a custom order cost an extra $250? It's like they look at the whole hardware cost as an extra, not just the upcharge for gold.

- As Hamer are now owned by FMIC and still make 'Gibson shapes' why can't Jackson?

If Hamer is doing this by prior agreement with Gibson, and said agreement calls for licensing fees to be paid to Gibby, would they consider seeking to do the same for Jackson custom shop guitars? I would be more than will to pay a reasonable upcharge "licensing fee" (to be passed onto to Gibson, via the agreement) to be able to custom order a Jackson roundhorn V or Explorer. It might be killer to offer this with the coming Jackson 30th anniversary (...2010, I think?).

Hey Ron,

Can you check on two King Vs in the CS. One is white string thru and another is a friend's silver both were ordered around the same time and should be out of paint.

Let me know how far along they are...take pics of the white one if you can that ones mine.

They will reverse the policy when they start hurting enough. To date no other manufacturer has this policy except for those artists currently endorsed by a company. Like ESP wont remake certain limited Metallica guitars because of contractual obligations.

Also when you submit your quote dont say you want it like so and so. That is how I got away with getting a Urban camo Hanneman soloist done by the cs,
