I don't know if this was already talked in here, but i couldn't find this on the new catalogue photos posted:

So it seems there's a new JS32, arch top, maple fretboard coming. It was spotted on Thomann website, shipment due to arrive on 10.02.2014, although in the description says "white pearloid sharkfin inlays"...

To put a lid on it once and for all:

To increase profit margins, production was moved to cheaper countries
It doesn't need a secret memo from the board of directors to understand how things went down in a business sense

They already set up the cheaper lines there and it was only a matter of time before Fender pulled the plug on expensive japanese production
the hight of the recession + the Nuclear incident (which would at the least slow production/export down) was the best time to do so
Were both not as severe, we may have at least seen the Elite series around for a few years

I wonder if the lack of new Japanese guitars coming into the States will affect the second-hand prices you and I will pay in the future, i.e., Ebay, CL, pawn shop.

Yeah all my MIJ Jacksons were 2003+ with the RR3 being the worst. It even had dead spots on the fretboard. I am just wondering if the decline in quality was a factor too that chushin didnt keep going.
