That looks sharp. Did the 8-hole line up right with the existing holes, and did the volume pot fit with no mod to the body cavity?

Warmoth custom order, 8-hole, W/B/W pickguard routed for H/S, 3-way blade switch and V/T/T. Pickups are DiMarzio Evolution in the bridge and DiMarzio Fast Track 1 in the neck.

    Indeed it is

GT - Yeah I toyed with the idea of selling it, but on second thought, I decided to keep it.

Weren't you getting rid of the WarAngel at some point? I thought it was on the chopping block.

Anyway - I just put my SD1 away last night and pulled out my Ibanez 770DX for a little action. Totally different feel - I think the SD1 just feels comfortable - like a muscle car with bench seats. The Ibanez more like a ricer with Sparcos. If anything - the SD1 is meaty - a real meat and potatoes type of guitar - classic. But damn, that Edge trem is sweet.

Some very nice stuff in here. I have been G.A.S. free for some time now. BUT: I am caving!!! One in particular in here(I will not divulge which one!) gets me weak in the knees! I am hoping to secure one.

I've had SEVERAL of the new charvels(pointy head) and they hung right with my san dimas era axes that I had.

Sweet! But you need the slime green to match that drum set!

I think I just might order a custom shop Charvel with a Kahler trem, Knob O' Death volume knob, and a pointy headstock instead of Strat just to piss off everybody else here
Seriously, the knob is not bad at all and Kahlers work just fine. I have had a Kahler since the mid 80's and never once popped the ball end out of the claw on it and I never had string breakage problems either. At least the thing stays in tune in the rare event you do actually bust a string and it has no removable parts like those damn Floyd string blocks. Ever lose one of those during a string change on a dark stage? Good luck finding it! Oh, and I have recieved more older used guitars with one of those blocks frozen in place on a Floyd than I have frozen Kahler parts. I have guitars with both trems and can play either. The Kahler does not = Evil!

So mike was right. Lots of people do like the knobs..... Just for different purposes :d

I didn't know my pic of my Model 6 with the kahler beside my So-Cal would cause so much controversy! HA HA!

I agree on the knob! At first look I really didn't like it but after I got my So-Cal I love it! It does grip very easily and isn't the meat grinder everyone makes it out to be.

Agreed. The knob does indeed rock. The only reason I replaced mine is because I wanted dual concentric Volume/Tone knobs and for color-scheme purposes.

However, the de-located Knobs O Doom are quite happy on the Ultimate Metal Guitar - The Halford
