Pardon my lack of knowledge, but what is the history of those guitars? Were they actually built for Eddie? I thaught I read somewhere that the new charvels were the first to ever be legally produced with that paintjob. Also, did they all have that route for the volume knob? Its pretty damn cool!

i'm not the resident expert, but here ya go...

these old b&y were made without evh's permission, so he did a cease & desist. and that was the end of evh's relationship with grover jackson and charvel until recently. so the few b&y charvels that made their way out into the public are known as holy grail charvels.
