My EVH Holy Grail Strathead

Well I guess its my Holy Grail. You guys will remember her from the auction on the bay-Charvel strathead neck,old esp body or he thought-I have since been told it is an old mighty mite body-everything about the guitar is old evevn the finish has some checking-pro paint job,old sd-custom pick up ols floyd. When I talked to him he had 4 offers for the neck along highest being $500.00 but he did not want to go through all the hassles of breaking her a part and listing everythin separate-so we reached a deal and after 8 hours of driving and 500 miles she is noe with me. Man this thing has the vibe,mojo,stank and everything else,sounds great,plays great-it's just super cool









And considering what the evh holy grails are going for I got a good grail at a fraction of the cost [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Nice score! Can't tell from the pics but was it originally a v-trem and routed for a floyd? There's some chipping by the edge of the floyd that is similar to mine. Just curious.

Thanks Guys-I'm really digging it-I checked the volume pot and it date code is cts feb 1983 looks like it been that way ever since solder looks clean-also the neck and body mate perfect-tight with no overhang
