  • Dave signed by Dean is for Jackson???

"He also basically admitted that he only signed with Dean to get a better deal with Jackson when the dean contract was up. He wanted more than Jackson was offering, because there is bad blood with him and Jackson. At least twice he tried to buy Jackson and was outbid. ...Probably within two years he will be playing Jacksons again"
I saw this from BCR forum, is that true??
Its a very excited news if its true!!

I doubt it, because Dean guitars cost him light years more than Jacksons do. I think he really likes his Deans.

I had a go on his VMNT angel of deth, his actual one, and i can see why he likes playing them though, it is pretty nice.... i prefer my jacksons but still, it played pretty well.

Say what you want about Dave but I would think that it would be VERY cool to see a mayor guitar company own by a great guitar player.

I truly hope the whiney ass doesn't come back to Jackson unless it's as a PAYING CUSTOMER. The nerve of that prick to get upset that they were cutting his freebies back from 11 a year to 6, especially since he had been in rehab for a year already, and the album at that time wasn't selling well at all!

For all intents and purposes, he was on his way out, so why should Jackson have kept him as a Top Tier Artist when he wasn't actively promoting the brand on tour?

And it's not like he doesn't still have dozens of Jacksons left! Yes he sold off a few, but where's his Arizona Flag V? I'm supposed to believe he ditched all his Jacksons? I doubt it.

As far as I'm concerned he can stay with Dean and play his dots+fins KV copies, and whatever that aborted fetus he "designed". More like "I saw it in my puke".
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

I beleive one of FMIC's employees posted here that they almost had a deal worked out and Dean came in at the last second. If I were FMIC I would give him a crappy deal or none at all if he came back.

Me personally I hope he comes back to Jacksons those Deans are just Meh...

WOW, there are many anti-Dave people :P
I hope he comes back, in that case, its much more easy to buy a KV1

I'm not anti-Dave, it'd be great to see him playing Jacksons again. I just think Marty is so much more better and he's not quite complete without a Kelly.
Dave changes his guitars like the weather, so who really cares what he's playing this week?

With Dean Z. being gone now, who knows where Dave will be soon? Anyway, I've got a silver VMNT1 and think it's a great playing guitar.

It's funny, a long time ago I read a post here on JCF and someone wrote "who would buy a guitar with that a******'s name on the headstock". All of a sudden I realized, that was the only thing I did not really like about my korina KV1. However, Dave Mustaine was a big influence in me wanting that guitar, especially the old Guitar World centerfold of his silver sparkle KV and his supposed quote about a Lamborghini [ or was it a Ferrari] compared to a Ford Pinto. I know all the KV1 buffs remember that. However, if Mr. Mustaine did get back on Jacksons, I am sure it would be beneficial to both parties. It would make some great threads here! On another note, Adrian Smith representing Jackson is really awesome and his signature model is really something to look forward to.

Yeah H is a real coup, considering Jackson don't really have anyone endorsing them just now that classic metal fans can really identify with.

Yeah, because it doesn't get much play time. I realized I'm not much of a V guy, but it is a nice guitar and plays great.
