I stood 2nd row for the first "Rising Force" Yngwie tour and left unfulfilled.Maybe just not a great show. Another I liked later was Vernon Reid because he wasn't cookie-cutter. All the guys you've mentioned were great. Becker I though had great possibilities but (apart from other reasons) he was really just getting big as the genre was being "phased out" from popular exposure. Shame really. Nice vid!
Why the hell doesn't Eddie pick up a goddamned guitar and play something?

i took lessons from Greg Howe for about two years during his Howe II days and i got to say he is the amazing player i have ever witnessed. To sit across from him and watch him is an unreal experience. He can pull off some of the most tasteful licks with no effor, not just shredding nonsense like so many others. And he really dug my Model 6 too!

I must have watched that about 10 times now and I never get sick of it. The thing with that Guthrie clip is that it makes me want to play. Plus his tone for that clip is great.

Funny thing is, having seen him live a couple times over the last couple years (NAMM & the Carvin Anniversary Show), he's insanely better now than he was in that video!

He went toe-to-toe with Vai at the Carvin gig, and pulled this two-handed apreggio-sweep-thing out of his azz that made me mess myself.

Seriously - the whole place - dead f'ing silent from the jaws on the floor - before it exploded in applause...he's THAT good!

I'm not so into him technically, its that jazzy groove thing he has going on kinda like Greg has. It like a happy shredding. heres a cool vid of Greg doing jump start

I remember him playing me rough tracks of that song off his Alesis Adat. He recorded the whole album in his bedroom on Adat. He handed me a copy of introspection when it was first pressed, i popped it in my cd player on the ride home and i almost drove off the rode when i heard Jump start!
                  Another cool one

Well, getting hauled away in the back of a cruiser for domestic violence and spending some time in the can will do that to you. O.J. has never been the same either.

BTW. I'm kidding but I know what you mean and agree. It's been a long time since a positive spotlight has shown on him in the US. Perhaps the 80's nostalgia thing will take off and he can get some mileage with that but that may be wishful thinking.
That GIT clips was very nice.

it looks like exactly the same guitar!! (apart from the fretboard wood, direction of the headstock, pickup configuration, colour of hardware, type of bridge....)

awesome playing, btw. Shred that won't put you to sleep!
