  • Switched to 10's Cant slide as well

So I recently switched to 10s on my jackson warrior and for some reason I can't slide as well on them, am I just tarded or are the strings crap? Is there some lube out there to take away this problem?

PS. Tried to search didn't find much, my phrases probably weren't the best, but if there is another topic on this link me and the mods can take this down.

    Thanks.

If you just switched strings there is no finger oil on them. It takes time to work strings in.

Umm, try the Dunlop string cleaner and conditioner. They way I grease up my strings is by adding just a bit more than what seems too much, leave it for a minute or two, not more, and then rub it in with a towel.

Hey, they're clean and play with a bit more ease. Chances are though, they might feel too slippy for your playing tastes, but that crap wears away after an hour or two, and leaves your strings just the way you like later on. Thats what I do anyway. Keep in mind that your fingers wont produce the squeeking noice on the bass strings, so if its a desired effect, you might like to stray away from it, and grease em in the old way, with your sweat!
