    y'know, you're right man. I've only been playing for about 17 years, so I clearly don't have enough experience yet.

    I guess I'll have to jack the action on a couple of my guitars through the roof so I can test your theory. Although, you still haven't explained why "The higher the action, the duller the Harmonic". You've stated your opinion but provided no evidence to back it up. Harmonics are sounded when a node point is touched somewhere along the length of the vibrating string. How does the height of the string from the fretboard affect this process?

    Or are you just comparing results obtained on a crappy guitar with high action to those experienced on a decent guitar with lower action?

      perhaps the pickups 'pick up' the harmonic more with lower action as the strings are closer to the pickups??

      Id have thought a tighter string would vibrate more and thus bring out the harmonics more?
