Re: Who has the best chops here?

Bottom line: if you have the ability to pull off the music you want to play, you have great chops. If not, then not.

You said it perfectly....out of all the samples that were posted, i liked troy's best....many meanings to chops, if you're talking about sheer picking speed then its Word, or Pete...Legato stuff goes to Neddi...Actually, neddi and troy stand out for me on this board, the most. out of the ones Ive heard thus far, Diablo Mozart really stood out. fast but excellent clarity. and I caught Pete's effort in the dross v oklastrat war, that too was really great. Post something here Neddo mate! I mustve missed that one

Re: Who has the best chops here?

there's no way I could pick one. I enjoy the playing of so many here. Neddi is definitely one of my favourites, he plays pretty much exactly how I've always wanted too. His clip of the "Shapes.." solo just slayed me.

I've always enjoyed Pete's clips too, that headcutting clip against old roach-boy was priceless; Shawn Lutz has posted some great playing; Diablo comes up with the coolest backing tracks and can lay down a wicked lead over them too; Matt from VENTT just SMOKES, Troy's pretty damned good too for "just a rhythm guitarist"; how about Dave from Severed Serenity? (great pic on the Jackson site, BTW ); Blindmuddy's playing is incredible, remember "Diggin' Taters"?

With so many fantastic guitarists around here, it's little wonder some of us are a bit shy when it comes to posting our own clips.

              hands down :

the banjo player from the mp3 section.

either that, or the guy selling his RR1? in the classifieds who 'sold it to GC for 1500' and could 'outplay any of you old geezers' (para-phrasing)

How does a Lead Singer change a light bulb?

                            He does'nt.

He stands there and lets the world revolve around him.
