  • What Is Your Trademark?

Tell me, what is your trademark?..
I don`t care if anyone else does it or them but,
what is your trademark and describe why is it and
how did it came to this
    Tell me guys come on!...

    My trademark is:
    Pinch Harmonics

I just love to play them, I think it`s because
a long time I really loved Zakk Wylde...
I love to put them in songs that I learn even though they
don`t have them in the original version...

Nice melody creations. Can't make a good riff for the life of me though.

i really have no idea at all...never thought about it...have had guitar players look at me like i am from mars with some of the rhythms i play...specifically there one in a devane song called "world keeps turning round"...a guy came to audition, saw me play it, and said "i thought that was two guitar tracks on the cd"...lmao...d.m.

Sliding into single notes and I use the trem along with string bends to add color to an otherwise boring progression.

As a lead player, people have commented on my of bends and vibrato to "fake" the use of a whammy on a hardtail guitar. Other than that, our drummer (who plays in three other death/grindcore bands) has told me that I'm the tightest rhythm player he knows. I chalk up most of my right-hand technique to years of Megadeth worship.

                    Forgetting songs, solos, intros etc.

Doing the "First Chord Lottery" as the drummer counts us in:
Is it going to be this one, or that one?
Eeeny, meeny, mine, Mo! Keraaaaangg!!! Aaargh wrong one, band all look at me in disgust!

Come on, you all do it. Only not as well as me.
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

                    I nearly broke her back

Any variation of a Sus4 chord, most notably when playing an E Barre rooted on the 7th fret/5th string:

                      E--7
                      B--8
                      G--7
                      D--9
                      A--7
                      E--x

a 4-note run on the B and G like this:

                      B----8-7--
                      G--9-----9

and my use of clean open harmonics as solo filler on slower songs
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

used to come up with tunes like it was a piece of pie. both ways, on the guitar, on a piece of paper, but was never good at putting them both together, always needed a partner for that. I can squeal harmonics with the best of them.

my trademarks would be out-of-tune bends, too-fast-vibrato, coming in too early or too late, forgetting all the cool licks I've been working on at home and falling back on rote frenetic pentatonic crap.
