  • Still of the Night

Here's a vid of me and Dave (cliffclaven here on the board) at a gig last weekend. I was playing my new Marshall JVM for the first time, killer amp.

Check out the middle "violin" section where Dave does the harmony thing. It sounds neat.

What a fun song to play live. I sure wish we were hearing new material on the radio that sounds like this. Ah, the late 80's....

Man, that was FUCKING AWESOME!!!! You guys are really tight!

Your singer reminds me quite a lot - vocally - of Sebastian Bach. He doesn't have quite the range of Bach (not many do though eh?), but he sounds a lot like him and his screaming is spot on.I REALLY enjoyed that vid, thanks mate!

Oh nice band name too. Like yer beers eh?

You guys suck!!!! J/K... You guys sound great!!! The video quality doesn't do it any justice though. It's nice to see a band do a classic song the way it's supposed to be done!!
      Great song, great performance!!

Awesome, I'd like to hear a quality recording of you guys doing that one (that was pretty heavily distorted).

yeah, damn camcorders just don't record very well when you're that close to the main cabinets.

Very cool! I wish I could get back in a band like that again.

It's very easy to make a pad for an external stereo mic. With a pad, and a proper mic with a high max spl you can get great results. Even better would be a quality preamp, to the line in.

Good cover, you guys sound tight.

                          Good stuff.
Don't sweat the camcorder recording thingy, why?
The musicianship showed and thats what matters must.
Quality recording and production comes later.
If possible keep that lineup in the video together.
Why? Everybody seems very comfortable together and it (stage prescense/fun factor) seems natural, not rehearsed acting.
                          Keep it going.

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.
