I just have a quick question. I put this here because this is where Newc's home recording thread is, so... there.

Anyway... here is the dealio.
I'm working with a buddy of mine cross country on a project. I have a full-blown DAW recording set-up at home. Buddy has this Guitar port with the Rifftracker software. My question is that he can't figure out how to import the mp3 I send him so he can record his take in another track.
What he will need to do is mix his track into mine (so I can hear it) but then also send me his naked track so I can place it where it needs to go. Does this make sense?
The two tracks (mine and his) need to be separate so he can record his own in sync with mine.

So... how does he do this? I thought he could just create a new track and import my mp3 or .wav file in there, that's what I do. But I'm not familiar with Rifftracker so I don't know if he can do this.

Geez this is long winded! Sorry.

Thanks,
Emmy
