• Another Original Metal Tune - Nile ish

http://www.audiostreet.net/artist.aspx?artistid=29970

Apprehension. Kind of Nile-ish, but the end has a Death influence to it. Let me know what you guys think!

Signal chain was my RR-1 (JB) into an SD-1 into a Behringer V-amp, tracked two hard left and right, two 80% left and right, with a different tone on the 80% tracks.

I like apprehension but that anubis song kicks major ass, what are your v-amp settings for the dist. and especially the clean parts.

Thanks guys!

For the hard left and right tracks, I used the following settings:

SD-1:
level - 7
Tone - 2
Drive - 2.5

Modern Hi Gain
Gain - 4
Presence - 6.5-7
Treble - 5.5
Mids - 10
Bass - 4
Compressor with effect setting at one, tap at 4
Drive under edit at 1

For the 80% panned, I used the same SD-1 settings, with these on the V-amp2:

Custom Hi Gain
Gain - 4
Presence - 7
Treble - 5.5
Mids - 10
Bass - 4
Compressor with effect setting at one, tap at 4
Drive under edit at 0

I just realized that both amps use the same settings haha...

The clean sound...ah.

I believe I used the calif clean, keeping my volume high and the gain low. No SD-1, of course. Mids at 4, bass at 4, treble at about 8, prescence at 5.

Now here's the weird part; the only effect from the V-amp is a light chorus. I applied that insane rotary speaker in Nuendo2.

Awesome! What did you use for the drums?

Programmed in Nuendo, mapped to Battery 2, peaced together with a bunch of different samples (snare is from the new Nevermore, kick from Fear Factory, most of the cymbals from DFH).

But the good news is: From now on I'm on broadband, so it's no longer a hassle to download the stuff posted here.

Hm funny, I found your topic on the Seymour Duncan forum and from there the link worked.
I could only download Anubis before the site decided that I have to register...
but well, this track is damn great! And that sweep almost at the end, wow.

Listening to Anubis the 8th time in a row now. Gets better each time, especially the solo at the end.
I think I have to register there now after all to download the rest.
