  • Need some Tips for better Mixing/Reverb usage

    Hi guys.

I need some Mixing tips. I've got a mix set up, im doing a lil "feel like makign love" and Im having trouble finding the right reverb that isnt too roomy, or isnt too far away, yet still has space to work within and give a sense of depth.

Here's a file im working on for reference... http://www.chrisflook.com/Jeffstuff/FLMLMIX.mp3

How do you prefer setting up your verbs for a faster harder mix? What kind of wet/dry ratios?

Inserts/Sends, any special way of going about things.

Id really appreciate some tips on how to make my mix sound more professional. Thanks!

    Try this...
Analog-style large-room slap, little-to-no attack, high diffusion, short release, start at 50-50 wet/dry and back it off until you find the wet spot.

    750xl, 88LE, AT1, Roswell Pro, SG-X, 4 others...
Stilletto Duece 1/2 Stack, MkIII Mini-Stack, J-Station, 12 spaces of misc rack stuff, Sonar 4, Event 20/20, misc outboard stuff...

Why do I still want MORE?
