LOL They've been playing that commercial here for over a month now. Tonight I actually saw the cut version without Nick.
I'm confused, though, because hasn't Dr. Pepper always been a "cherry" flavor?

Cherry is something they did a few years back, but started pushing again recently.

I heard the rumor about the carbonated prune juice thing, but supposedly the inventor was just trying to make a soda that tasted like carbonated prune juice.
I don't know, I've never had prune juice, but Dr. Pepper always tasted like a cherry flavor to me.

It's actually Plum juice, but Prunes are simply dried Plums.
Plums have a sweet, almost Cherry flavor.

In TX Dr Pepper is very popular, kind of like Coke in Georgia. I have never drank prune juice so I dont understand the comparison. There is a radio add that doesnt have his kid in it. Gene calls himself the Dr of Love and ties it to Dr Pepper, pure cheese and an obvious money grab.

If you ever drink prune juice, you still won't understand the comparison. It's nothing like prune juice.. Dr Pepper is actually tolerable. I'd drink it over fuggin Pepsi anyday if I can't have my Coke.
