Chattanooga is a cool place! Lots of Civil War history. You can go up on Look Out Mtn or visit Ruby Falls and Rock City. They also have a nice aquarium and downtown Chat has lots of cool little shops. Have fun!"POOP" -

I like Gatlinburg, it is one of my favorite places in the country...you have all the tourist trap stuff and bamm..5-10 minutes your in the National Park so you get the best of both worlds

Damn Don, I could have stopped by. We did the Newport aquarium on Saturday. Unfortunately, we don't have mobile wireless, so the only time I can get on here is while at hotels, so it's pretty hard to make any plans. We're totally winging this whole trip. Just felt like getting out of the house, and finding some better weather.
We've decided that next year, or even maybe later this year, we're coming back down to do some serious white water rafting& kayaking in the Ocoee & Nantahalee rivers. It's seriously beautiful down here. The Smokies are absolutely breathtaking.
Pigeon Forge is pretty funny. It's like hillbilly Vegas.
