what do you listen to to get revved up ...

Before I practice or generally fuck off with a guitar, I like to listen to something to get 'fired up' or 'in the zone' - here's one of mine.

Anyone else do this? And if so, what?

I keep an iPod shuffle with a bunch of Rob Zombie, Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, etc. that I listen to while we're at the range shooting or training to keep me pumped.

Before I jam out, I don't really listen to music...I just kinda run through my set list and that's it.

I listen to W.A.S.P - The headless children. To me, it's the most powerful and inspiring album I've ever heard.

Actually, that's a lie. I just have to look at my USA Warriors to get revved up to play.

Possibly some Emperor or Quo Vadis. Maybe some Ensiferum if I'm in a good mood.

Did you get their new one "Into the Labyrinth" ..pretty good much like IS. Their stuff has been pretty consistant since Metalhead IMO.

I don't listen to music to get fired up these days. I listen to it to calm down..to chill. Yes, even emperor or slayer..puts me right out!

Slayer, Bill? Pfft. A man with your background should appreciate the lyrics in this.

That album is by far and away their best - it's a classic of the time and, like "Rust In Peace" blows away everything the respective bands ever did, big time. Totally fucking awesome.
